I have owned three different Aston’s over the past 7 years in my search for exactly the right one. My first one was the most common DB9 that you can find; a silver coupe with the paddle shifted automatic and 15 spoke wheels. I just simply didn’t like that transmission and so I searched for a manual transmission car. Really hard to find but I found a beautiful gray coupe with the 6 speed and immediately realized what I was missing. The manual completely transforms the big V12. Then, a year later, I came across this car. A triple black convertible with a 6 speed and only 14,000 miles and perfectly clean carfax and maintenance record that I could swap the sport wheels from my second car (an $8,000 factory option) to create what is, in my view, the best looking (and rarest) of DB9’s. I feel like I struck gold, and have looked diligently for the past couple of years to see if I could find another equipped like this. I couldn’t. Enjoy the pics!
