Ever since I added the nicest 69 Chevelle SS Coupe I had ever seen to the collection, (a perfect #1 car in dusk blue with L78 396 375 4 speed), I was hell bent on finding the right complementary big block 69 Camaro SS--but it had to be a convertible. There are plenty of 69 Camaro's out there, but oh so few that are this perfect and so well equipped. While it's not an L78, it's an L34 car (396 350 4 speed) of which only 2,018 were built, and had only 2 owners since new. It had travelled 109,000 miles before this completely rust free example was torn down and rebuilt from the bottom up. It runs and drives amazingly well and I love how equipped it is. It's M-21 transmission is numbers matching and it's got a dated and correct 12 bolt posi rear and power disc brakes up front. Inside, the white vinyl seats are separated with a console along with the full gauge package including an in-dash tach and wood steering wheel that looks SO MUCH BETTER than the cars without those important options. The original AM/FM radio works and sits in the dash as new and the 14" super sport wheels look just awesome. My favorite part (other than the way it drives) has to be the deep Cabernet colored burgundy paint which, along with the white SS stripes, just pops and takes your breath away under the lights. One of the finest original 69 Camaro SS convertibles I have ever come across. Enjoy the pics!
